Tomatoes
Tomato season is here. Try these helpful hints to get your tomatoes growing. And don't forget to stop by for our $.77 tomato plants. Hurry, they are going fast!
  • Never plant your tomatoes in the same location 2 years in a row.
  • Plant disease resistant varieties. Ask a friendly Navlet's employee for help.
  • Amend clay soils each year.
  • Learn when NOT to water.
  • Use plant food such as Osmocote© Time Release Fertilizer or Dr. Earth© Tomato Vegetable Food for optimal plant growth.

Vegetables
Don't forget your other vegetables! Peppers, squash, cucumbers, eggplants, beans and more are ready to be planted and now is the time. Also try planting various herbs, great for adding flavor to any meal. They grow like weeds and don't take up much space. Use sturdy cages to keep plants upright and to allow for easier harvesting.

Liven Up Your Garden
Ready to liven up your garden? Plant warm weather annuals like Impatiens, Petunias, Marigolds, Begonias, or many more. These will add that splash of color to your garden well into Fall. Or try them in one of our new stunning glazed containers to add color to any patio or deck.

Container Roses
Best selection of container roses now available. They provide colorful, fragrant blooms now through Fall. Older varieties may be more susceptible to diseases brought on by this wet Spring. Treat roses and other ornamentals with Agri Fos©. This product subdues powdery mildew, downey mildew and fireblight on select species.

Wet, Cool Spring
This wet, cool Spring may have stunted veggies planted back in early March. It is not too late to pull them up and start over. Warmer weather will allow not plants to surpass the droopy stage they may have already reached.
