| TIMELY TIPS FOR NOVEMBER: |
Adjust pH on Acid-Loving
Plants
To reduce the yellow leaves on Camellias, Gardenias, and other shade loving plants add GreenAll pH Adjuster to the soil. GreenAll pH Adjuster makes the soil less alkaline and more acidic. It should be evenly spread around the drip line and cultivated into the soil. The winter rains will leach the pH Adjuster down into the root zone.

Spring Flowering
Bulbs
It's not too late to plant spring flowering bulbs. November, with its cooler temperatures and shorter days, is an excellent month to plant bulbs. Crocus, Botanical Tulips and Grape Hyacinth will bloom starting in February while Daffodils will bloom in March.

Control Peach Leaf
Curl
To control Peach Leaf Curl, the conventional thinking was to apply a January/February application of a product like Lilly Miller Micro Cop with the spreader sticker Sta-Stuk. However, an additional mid-November spraying is now being recommended. The fall application is beneficial as it gets the fungicide into the cracks and crevices of the bark before the winter starts. The spores of bark can be shielded from traditional sprays during winter applications as the bark constricts with cold temperatures.
