Plant Seed Potatotes
for Good Yield
Potatoes are a short term growing crop that yields big results. The time between planting to harvesting is a mere one hundred days and one pound of seed potatoes will produce three to five pounds of edible potatoes. Potatoes like well-drained soil so they do best in raised beds. Also to insure that your potatoes thrive add one tablespoon of Sulfate of Potash under each seed potato when planting.

Prune Conifer
February is the best month to prune Conifer such as Pines, Junipers, Cedars, and others. The cool temperatures of February allow plenty of time for the pruning wounds to callus before invading insects become active. Also, it’s not necessary to seal the pruning wounds as they naturally produced resin, or pitch, so Conifers do it for you.

Post Rose Pruning
Tip
After pruning your roses, be sure you loosen or reposition the metal name tag. If left untouched the wire holding the name tag will girdle the expanding rose cane. Overtime, the girdled cane will turn black and then die.
