How to Say Goodbye to Seed Pods

Liquidambar is a graceful, elegant, columnar tree with beautiful fall color. Though these trees grace many a garden, they do have one significant drawback the yearly production of little prickly balls known as seed pods. Follow these steps to eliminate them from your garden.

Look for the Pods
In the spring, look for green, powdery flower clusters when new leaves emerge. They are easy to detect, and the male flowers will drop to the ground.

Zap 'Em!
Apply Florel Growth Regulator to the floral clusters to prevent seed pods from forming. Repeat as new flowers open, and enjoy your pod-free garden!
