Choose It
Choose your tomato plant, either tall or short. Decide if you will be planting directly into the ground or in a container.

Strip It
Strip all the foliage off the stem of the tomato plant, up to the second set of mature leaves.

Dig It
In the center of your plot or container, dig a deep, narrow hole. Bury the tomato plant up to the first set of leaves.

Feed It
To ensure healthy growth, add an automator and tomato cage to the plant. Feed and water on a regular basis.
