Soil Preparation
Vegetables must grow to full size and produce crops in a relatively short amount of time, so they need ready access to water and nutrients. This makes soil preparation critical.

Select The Right Plants
Select varieties that are well suited to your local growing conditions. Also, be aware that some vegetables grow well side-by-side, and others do not; ask a Navlet's expert for an explanation.

Time The Planting
Your success will depend in part on the timing of your planting; not all types like to be planted at the same point in the season. Keep an eye on the annual weather pattern, too; every year is slightly different.

Care & Maintenance
Vegetables aren't difficult to care for, but you can't procrastinate. Establish a regular care routine and be diligent. Remember, pest infestations are easier to prevent than they are to correct.

How to Get Homegrown Vegetables
