| When it Comes to Weeds... Take the Pro-Active Approach by Buzz Bertolero, the Dirt Gardener
I recommend the pro-active approach, which means using a pre-emergent herbicide, now! My favorite is Monterey Weed Stopper pre-emergent for use on ornamentals, shrubs, ground covers, roses, bulbs, and trees. It can be sprayed right over growing plants without harming them. It can even be applied to areas under irrigation or prior to a major rainstorm. This product is available in either concentrate or a ready-to-use form that attaches to the end of a hose. So my advice is spray now, or forever hold the hoe come spring. |
