Dwarf Azaleas - the "In Between" Plant
| Navlet's Garden Centers are happy to offer ten varieties of the vibrant dwarf azaleas for your flowerbeds. The evergreen shrubs are rhododendrons with smaller, thinner leaves. These azaleas are robust in temperatures as low as -5 degrees Fahrenheit. Essentially, dwarf azaleas are the perfect "in-between" plant, with attractive foliage even when not in bloom. |
Carefully plan where you will plant your dwarf azaleas. Choose a place with light to moderate shade; the plants tolerate some sun. Azalea flowers last much longer on plants in filtered shade than on those plants in full sun
Dwarf azaleas like moist, well-drained soil. They are dense, compact growers that grow slowly and reach 2 1/2 feet high and 2 feet wide. The plants are a great companion with Liriopes, Mondo Grass, Lily of the Valley, Shrubs, and Fringe Flower. Feed dwarf azaleas monthly with Dr. Earth Azalea, Camellias and Rhododendron food.
