Navlet's Mini-Clinic - How To Grow a Growing Planter

If you like moss hanging baskets because they look so natural and seem alive with plants, you'll love one made from ground cover. The basket itself seems to grow! Here's how to make your own:

Gather Materials
Start with a wire basket frame in the shape of your choosing, and a collection of your favorite plants, potting soil, and a flat of ground cover.

Line Wire Basket
Line the inside of the wire frame with any dense ground cover, with the roots toward the inside of the basket. For this project, we used Baby Tears.

Fill Wire Basket
Fill basket with potting soil and add plants through the sides, as well as at the top. Fertilize and water thoroughly.

Water & Enjoy
Keep the basket well watered, and sit back and wait for the show.
