Forcing
Bulbs to Bloom Indoors"Forcing" bulbs
is a term used to describe forcing bulbs to bloom out of their usual,
natural blooming season. It's a great way to enjoy beautiful blooming
bulbs year round. Plus they make great gifts!
Bulbs ideal for "forcing" indoors include Hyacinth, Crocus,
and Narcissus.

Gather Materials
Select a decorative container. Fill two thirds with decorative rock, sand, or marbles.

Plant 'Em
Nestle as many bulbs as possible into planting medium; bulbs should be covered about half way. Water thoroughly.

Sprout 'Em
Place in a dark closet until bulbs sprout. Check moisture weekly and water if dry.

Bloom 'Em
Once sprouted, place in a bright window and enjoy! Bulbs should bloom in about four to six weeks. They make perfect hostess gifts for the holidays and other occassions.
